Yep, it's true what they say... it SUCKS. I am so ready for Christmas break. This is the time of the year you think, "yes, I am going to be a successful human being." Or it's like a slap in the face and a punch to the stomach that says, "yep, you wasted this semester, and you are kind of slow." But no matter which way it goes, it is always stressful. So to my fellow college students out there that think, "oh please let these couple weeks go by quick, because this SUCKS", good luck. Get your game face on and get ish done! Kick your final exam's butts and show school who's boss.
said game face. Happy cramming!!

Christiaan Henri Charles
So I have this best friend... and I miss him. I miss him a lot. He has been on his mission for six weeks now and will be off to Africa in three weeks. I just want to post some pictures of us throughout our friendship, because although we have been together, we both agree that our friendship is the most important thing. One of my most favorite things about him is that he always has my back. I can count on him for anything... literally anything. He knows exactly what to say to me to help me.. even if it's not what I want to hear. He knows exactly what to do to to pick me up when I'm down. He helps my weaknesses become strengths. He has been an amazing friend, boyfriend, example, and influence. He is and will always be my best friend. And I love him to death. This is Christiaan Schmid.

I have a fetish.
For those of you who are around me constantly know what it is. Cheetah print. (or leopard print) I don’t know why I have this obsession other than it comes from my mother. What can I say, I AM her daughter. Animal print is a staple in my closet and it is on rare occasion that I don’t incorporate it in my outfit choices. To me cheetah print is a neutral it goes with anything. Most people have a favorite color. Mine is purple. But I also have a favorite print. Cheetah. Backpacks, cardigans, bean bags, check book, wallet, dresses, purses, high heels, jewelry, socks, umbrella, t-shirts,school supplies, swim suits, and now my newest addition luggage; yep, I have it all in cheetah print. I think it is safe to say I am completely and totally OBSESSED.
We have matching cheetah swim suits. Kind of a big deal.
I want.
Austria chior tour. Please not the umbrella and backpack strap.
Homecoming.
Graduation present from my momma. She has good taste :)
I think it would take me years to upload all the pictures of cheetah print things I wore and want and love. So there you go. That's my fetish.

I Have A Theory
So this is my theory... read closely this could get confusing. Color is a weird thing. Some of you are probably saying, "what is Alex smoking...peyote??" but really think about it. White is the absence of color, black is every color. And when you look at things you are actually seeing the one color that isn't there. And really nothing is actually colored, it is just the color that reflects off whatever object you are looking at. Trippy!! And also, when you are a kid, you learn your colors right? Well my theory is that everyone's eyes are different. So what if we see colors differently?? So one person's green could be another's purple. But they both call it green because that's what they were taught as kids. And one person's yellow could be another person's pink. But again, they both call it yellow because that is all they've ever known. Hey it's possible!! So ponder that one eh?
All of these thoughts came about in my dance production class when my instructor was talking about lighting a stage for different moods of dances. He drew a color wheel on the board and was talking about which colors make what, and what colors are opposites of each other. Then, he proceeded to tell us that red and green make yellow. Um no. That makes brown. Hopefully he intended to say blue and yellow make green, because yellow is a primary color. You can't just make that one. Here's a color wheel to prove my point.
yup.

2011. It's gunna be GREAT!
Well hello my followers!! Once again I have left you hangin' with nothing to read over the past months. Ah well... you will get over it, and here is a new post just for you! First of all, I must say that Christmas break was rockin'. All of my friends that left me for Utah and Idaho came back and we partied hard.
Also, to start off this fabulous year of 2011, for my birthday (coming up in a couple weeks. yes I will be 20. weird.) my mama took me to San Francisco. Why San Fran you ask? BECAUUUUSE, The Pulse was there for the weekend and I got a chance to attend. For those of you who are totally confused, The Pulse is a dance convention with the following staff: Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Tyce Diorio, Wade Robson, Chris Judd, and some other amazing genius people. And yes, I got to take class from all of them!!! It was for sure one of the best experiences in dance that has ever happened to me. Although I was so sore I could barely move my body when it was over, I learned some things. 1) I need to be more confident in myself because I am capable of anything I set my mind to. 2) I learned some really difficult and physically demanding choreography. 3) To keep going even when your body wants to stop, its all mental. 4) I learned that I would not be where I am today without my mom in dance or anything else. She taught me since I could walk to not only dance my heart out, but to be a good person, serve others, and to be the best I can be always. I hope she is proud of me because that is all I want... to make her proud.
Oh so focused.
Me with Miss Mia. She is hilarious! I have a new found respect for her.
Me with Dave Scott. LOVE HIM! can you tell by the abnormally huge smile on my face? YEAH.
So there's some pictures for you to take a looksie at! Also, I am in my last semester at MCC to get my dance degree!! WOW that went by so fast... but I am still a busy girl teaching 21 hours a week at the Dance Barn and taking 20 credit hours at school! LIFE IS GOOOOOOD :)
